Hey I'm Jess. I'm 18, I love animals and nature. Some of the stuff that I post is my own artwork and some pictures I have taken. The rest are just stuff I reblog. Hope you enjoy :)

You see, there is this thing called society. And in society, a majority of people are judged based on their apperances. Societies standards are fucked. If you’re skinny, you aren’t good enough. If your hair isn’t long enough, you’re not pretty. If your boobs aren’t big enough, you’re ugly. If you tan your skin, you’re fake. If you don’t have those ocean blue eyes, you aren’t like “everyone else”. If you wear to much makeup, you’re a cake face. If you wear short or tight clothes, you’re a slut. But you know, people pound all these cosmetics on their face because its from people in society, every day, making them feel like they aren’t good enough. You see yourself in the mirror every morning and not like what you see. You stare at your face constantly for an hour straight, picking out every flaw about youself and your insecurities. Reflections in your bathroom mirrors are often distorted by socially constructed ideas of “beauty”. No one is ever satisfied with how they look. We always look at ourselves and pick on the things we hate, instead of all the beautiful things. Whenever someone gorgeous walks by, you think to yourself, “Why cant I look like them?” “Why aren’t I as skinny as her?” “Her hair is so long!” But you know, when you’re thinking about wanting to look like someone else, someone out there would kill to look like you. Even if you don’t believe it. Society puts idea’s in every teenagers heads, causing them to think that only looking a certain way is acceptable. That having long bleached blonde hair, blue eyes, flawless skin, perfect body, thin waist, small thighs, is considered acceptable. You go everyday asking the same questions constantly: what if im not pretty enough? what if people see my thighs jiggle? what if I mess up? are people judging me all the time? do I need more makeup? what if, what fucking if…. When all these teenagers shouldn’t have to worry about any of this. But unfortuanetly, society sends a message that unless you are goodlooking, you aren’t good enough. This is what causes teenagers to starve themselves, or cake on the makeup. That innner beauty doesn’t matter anymore, because in society it doesn’t. You aren’t beautiful on the inside if you aren’t on the outside. It has taught people to hate themselves, to hate their body, to hate everything about themselves, when in reality they are perfect in their own way. Its hard to find yourself in a world so centered around perfection. When in reality, everything is perfect. Imperfection is what defines each and every person. But remember, no matter if you are size 00 pants or size 20. If you’re 300 pounds or 80 pounds. If you have brown, hazel, blue or green eyes. If your hair is blonde, brown, black. If you are bisexual, gay, lesbian, straight, or homosexual. If you have wide thighs or small thighs. If you arms are toothpicks or not. If you have flawless skin, or blemishes. If you have straight teeth, braces, crooked teeth. If you are an a cup or d cup. You are all beautiful no matter what all those fuckers say. Don’t stand and look in the mirror anymore, cause you shouldn’t have to cause your face, body, hair, eyes and everything about you is perfect. The scale doesn’t matter and it won’t change anything. The opinions of others aren’t facts. Take them and let them pass. Don’t ever let it get to you. Never EVER change who you are, or how you look, just because someone doesn’t like it. Never live to please anyone. Beauty is never makeup, beauty is yourself. Beauty is anything in a person, and it doesn’t have to be a certain way. Beautiful can be anything, beautiful is you.Remember you are beautiful, no matter what “they” say.
